Description
The “quadrature” version of the controller is designed to read glass and magnetic DRO scales, as well as other encoders that output quadrature signal. The firmware can comfortably read four scales with up to 1 micron resolution and supports directional tachometer. It uses the same pins as the "Mixed Scale" version, and can even use the same voltage shifter circuit. In practice, though, since most glass and magnetic DRO scales run at 5V, only a simple voltage divider using two resistors in needed (per line).
This controller is now also available for purchase as a pre-made board here.
